Fabienne Chiang’s curatorial work centres on decolonial and inclusive practices via exhibition making, public programming, and text, aiming to challenge prescribed and inscribed political ideologies that echo within and out through the walls of cultural institutions. This interest moves across artistic mediums, manifesting instead in a cross-disciplinary capacity, with a firm focus on engaged artistic labour featuring visual expressions and narratives that expose, critique, and undermine social inequalities and the power structures enabling them.

Recent exhibitions curated by Chiang include The space between us: Shifting focus from objects to relationships at the Van Abbemuseum in Eindhoven. Previously Chiang worked for other museums in the Netherlands, including Groninger Museum and Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam.
